Pastors

          Derrell and Mary Surface are the pastors of the First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro, Texas.

          Pastor Surface and his wife Mary are both ordained ministers of the Assemblies of God.  They are a blessing to the church in ministering the Word of God and singing duets and solos. Pastor Surfaces plays the piano,  Organ, and accordian.

         The Surfaces have conducted children's crusades and revivals in many churches.  Pastor Derrell has taught Berean Bible courses to the Indian people in Livingston, Texas, and also was a Bible instructor at Western Bible Institute, an Arizona District owned school in Phoenix, Arizona.

         Pastor Surface holds a Mastor of Theology degree with International Bible Institute and Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity Degree with Ohio Christian.  Mary Surface has studied through the Berean School of the Bible.

         The Surface's have been pastors of several churches in Texas, as well as, serving many years as Nationally  Appointed Missionaries to Native Americans in Texas and Arizona.  Their ministry has been to the Alabama and Coushatta tribes near Livingston, Texas, the Apache people at San Carlos, Arizona, and the Pima, Papago, and Yaqui people living on their reservations in Arizona.

        The Surface's come to Hillsboro believing God for and enjoyable ministry and to love and minister to the community in and around Hillsboro.

        Pastor Derrell and Mary Surface wish to welcome all to the services of First Assembly of God.
